WSU is excited to announce our enhanced 2027 scholarship program, designed to support high-achieving students from ALL countries to access and succeed in world-class higher education.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2027

Across both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs our new scholarships will range from $5,000 to $10,000 per year and will be awarded to eligible new commencing international students. All scholarships are multiyear awards, providing sustained financial support for the duration of the program, subject to ongoing eligibility. Please note that the Bachelor of Nursing is eligible for a $5,000 per year scholarship only, while the Master of Nursing Practice and Medicine program are exempt from this scholarship offering.

This expanded scholarship offering reflects our commitment to attracting exceptional global talent and supporting students not just to commence, but to thrive throughout their studies.

Western Sydney International Scholarships – Undergraduate

We are pleased to continue our commitment to supporting undergraduate international students with a generous and seamless scholarship offering designed to make the transition into university as smooth as possible.

All newly commencing bachelor students will automatically receive a $5,000 per year multiyear scholarship, applied directly towards tuition fees for the duration of their degree, subject to meeting program entry requirements. This will be applied in their second semester ensuring every eligible student benefits from financial support when they are required to make their next fee payment.

In addition, high-achieving students may be eligible for a $10,000 per year multiyear scholarship, recognising stronger academic performance and providing even greater support throughout their degree.

These scholarships are designed to reward achievement, improve access, and support students to focus on what matters most—succeeding in their studies and building their future.

Undergraduate Scholarships

Western Sydney International Scholarships – Postgraduate

Our commitment to supporting our international students at Western also extends to our postgraduate coursework programs. Scholarships for postgraduate international applicants recognises academic merit and offers a $10,000 multi-year or $5,000 multi-year partial scholarship to be applied towards tuition fees for the duration of their degree as set out in their offer letter.

Like our undergraduate scholarships, the postgraduate scholarships are applied directly by our admissions team when they receive the applications for the degrees and will be disbursed each year in the second semester to make progression at university easier financially on your students.

We also offer an automatic $10,000 multi-year scholarship to eight popular Masters degrees listed below:

• 1714 Master of Teaching (Secondary)

• 1773 Master of Teaching (Early Childhood & Primary) 

• 1774 Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) 

• 1848 Master of Teaching (Secondary) STEM

• 1792 Master of Social Work (Qualifying)  

• 2813 Master of Property Investment and Development 

• 2816 Master of Business Analytics 

• 3699 Master of Information and Communications Technology 

There is no GPA requirement to qualify for these degrees above. Your applicants simply need to qualify for entry to the degree.

Postgraduate Scholarships

Alongside our standard scholarship offerings above there are three other ways to qualify for an automatic $10,000 scholarship which strengthen pathways for both new and returning students to begin or continue their academic journey with us.

UAC applicants  - all international students applying via UAC will automatically qualify for a multi-year $10,000 scholarship for their bachelor degree

International UAC Scholarship

Western Alumni scholarship – all Western international alumni will automatically qualify for a $10,000 scholarship when they progress to their second coursework degree.

International Alumi Scholarships

International High Schools overseas – Western will soon announce scholarships for students from a select list of overseas high schools.
